Armenia Approves 2026–2027 School Year Schedule

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia has approved the academic calendar and vacation schedule for the 2026–2027 school year for institutions implementing general, specialized, and special state education programs.

According to the order signed by the minister, classes for students in grades 1–12 will begin on September 1, 2026. The academic year will end on May 21, 2027, for schools operating on a five-day schedule, and on May 22 for schools with a six-day schedule.

For first-grade students, autumn holidays are scheduled from October 19 to 30 (or October 31 for six-day schools). Winter holidays will last from December 28, 2026, to January 22, 2027 (or January 23 for six-day schools). Spring holidays are planned from March 15 to 26 (or March 27 for six-day schools).

Second-grade students will have autumn holidays from October 26 to 30 (or October 31 for six-day schools), winter holidays from December 28 to January 22 (or January 23), and spring holidays from March 22 to 26 (or March 27).

For students in grades 3–12, autumn holidays are set for October 26–30 (or October 31), winter holidays from December 28 to January 8 (or January 9), and spring holidays from March 22 to 26 (or March 27).

The approved schedule applies to public educational institutions across Armenia.
