
Two earthquakes were recorded in Iran within roughly one hour during the night of May 13.
According to preliminary reports, the first earthquake measured 4.6 magnitude and occurred near the border of Tehran Province and Mazandaran Province.
The underground tremors were reportedly felt in Tehran and Damavand.
About an hour later, another series of tremors was registered in the Pardis area.
Following the earthquakes, emergency and rescue services, including the Red Crescent Society of Iran, were placed on full alert readiness. At this stage, no official information about major damage or casualties has been released.
