A weak magnetic storm has begun affecting Earth, according to the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences and its Solar Astronomy Laboratory.
In a statement published on the laboratory’s Telegram channel, scientists reported that a G1-level geomagnetic storm is currently taking place. Researchers had previously warned that solar activity linked to a coronal hole on the Sun could trigger magnetic disturbances on Earth.
According to specialists, there is also a possibility that the storm could intensify to moderate G1-G2 levels.
Doctors note that geomagnetic activity may especially affect weather-sensitive individuals and people with chronic illnesses. Possible symptoms can include headaches, blood pressure fluctuations, weakness, irritability, and sleep disturbances.
Medical experts recommend reducing physical and emotional stress during such periods, avoiding excessive alcohol and caffeine consumption, getting enough rest, and staying hydrated.
