Operations at Sochi International Airport have been repeatedly disrupted over the past 24 hours following temporary flight restrictions introduced due to reported drone threats.
According to airport officials, operations were suspended several times, causing significant disruption to the flight schedule. More than 70 departing flights have reportedly been delayed as authorities implemented safety measures.
Several inbound flights bound for Sochi have also been diverted to alternative airports, including Makhachkala, Mineralnye Vody, and Volgograd.
Airport authorities have advised passengers to check the latest status of their flights before traveling to the airport, as delays and schedule changes may continue while operational restrictions remain in place.
