A fatal incident was reported in Armenia’s Ararat Province on June 28 after authorities discovered a deceased man inside a vehicle along the Yerevan–Yeraskh highway.
According to local reports, police and emergency responders were dispatched to the scene near the town of Vedi after receiving information that a man had been found unresponsive inside a Changan vehicle. Investigators later confirmed that a man’s body was discovered in the car.
A criminal investigation has been initiated to establish the circumstances of the incident and formally identify the deceased.
According to preliminary information reported by local media, the deceased was identified as Gagik Stamboltsyan, founder of the Avangard Medical Center, a former member of Armenia’s National Assembly, and a former Minister of Health. Initial reports suggest he may have suffered a sudden medical emergency while driving, which is believed to have led to the incident.
The cause of death has not been officially confirmed, and authorities are continuing their investigation.
