
A **magnitude 2.1 earthquake** was recorded in Armenia on **July 9 at 11:42 a.m. local time**, according to the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of Armenia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The epicenter was located **18 kilometers southwest of Aparan**, at a depth of **10 kilometers**. The intensity of the shaking in the epicentral area was estimated at **2–3 on the seismic intensity scale**.
The earthquake was **felt with an intensity of about 2** in **Ashtarak** and the villages of **Agarak, Byurakan, Karbi, Aghpnagyugh, and Aragats** in **Aragatsotn Province**.
No casualties or damage have been reported.
