Veolia Water has announced two water supply interruptions affecting several communities in Lori and a large number of addresses in Gyumri, Shirak Province.
Spitak and Nearby Villages: September 11–12
Due to emergency repair work, water supply will be suspended from 4:30 PM on September 11 until 4:30 PM on September 12 in the villages of Mets Parni, Shirakamut and Jrashen.
The interruption will also affect parts of Spitak, including Shveytsarakan, Uzbekakan, Italakan, Norvegakan, Varpetats, Yeritasardutyan, Estonakan, Pakhstakanneri and Tashir streets.
Large-Scale Water Interruption in Gyumri: September 15–16
A separate planned interruption will affect a large part of Gyumri from 10:00 AM on September 15 until 10:00 PM on September 16.
According to Veolia Water, the interruption is necessary for planned bypass work on a 600-mm steel water pipeline on M. Khorenatsi Street, near the Arthur Aleksanyan Sports School.
The shutdown will affect numerous streets, residential districts and facilities across Gyumri, including sections of A. Gevorgyan, Armenyan, Aivazovsky, Antaravan, Garegin Nzhdeh, Herzen, Griboyedov, Isahakyan, Khrimyan Hayrik, K. Demirchyan, Kirovakanyan, Komsomol, Shirakatsi, M. Khorenatsi, Marmashen Highway, Paronyan, Pavlov, Savoyan, V. Sargsyan, Abovyan, Kamo, Mendeleev, Nar-Dos and other streets and neighborhoods.
The affected area also includes Astghi Square, Charles Aznavour Square, Aragats and Vard-Bagh districts, Shirakshin residential areas, Finnish district and numerous numbered residential zones and lanes.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to take the lengthy interruption into account and store sufficient water in advance.
Veolia Water apologized to customers for the inconvenience and thanked them for their understanding.
