Rachel Wooding is a musical theatre performer from Yorkshire. She sang a pitch-perfect rendition of “With You,” from “Ghost the Musical” as her audition piece for Britain’s Got Talent. The performance showcased her vocal range and perfect breath control.
Wooding trained at the Bird College of performing arts and has been on stage since a young age. She starred in musical productions like “Cats” and “Starlight Express” in Germany. She also landed the title role in the UK tour of Evita the Musical.
Despite her experience, Rachel appeared nervous during her audition. She explained that she was singing for the first time since becoming a mom. The audience could tell “mom brain” had affected her when she pulled a pacifier from her back pocket.
It was a unanimous decision from the four judges to send her to the next round. Simon Cowell said that her performance was the best version of that song he has ever heard, and some audience members were crying. It appears that motherhood has not diminished any of Rachel’s talent!
