11-year-old Jadyn Rylee sang the most astounding cover of ‘The Sound of Silence’ by Simon and Garfunkel. She performed the world-famous song with her drummer friend Sina.
The piano marked the start of the song, and Jadyn began to sing in an empty black studio. Her voice was angelic, but she appeared to be slightly timid and reserved.
Jadyn’s vocals did not falter, and she only grew more confident and assertive as the performance continued. Once Sina started playing the drums, Jadyn’s mood seemed to shift.
She allowed herself to be filled with the message and presence of the song. Jadyn grabbed the mic and released the genuine talent within her. There was a voice that seemed to be well beyond her years.
Apparently, Jadyn has been singing ever since she learned to talk at three years old. Ever since then, she has not stopped getting better. One of her favorite songs to sing was ‘The Climb’ by Miley Cyrus.
As the music swelled, Jadyn’s vocals were breathtaking. She closed her eyes as she performed, and Sina played the drums masterfully. Together they were an incredible duo.
Jadyn ended the song with a soft, quiet note similar to how she began. Though, her confidence and presence were clearly different. She may not look like a rockstar, but she has the voice of one.
