Amid speculation surrounding her rumored split from husband Ben Affleck, singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has reportedly canceled her upcoming tour, according to TMZ.
Tour promoter Live Nation shared that Lopez’s decision stems from her desire to spend time with her children, family, and close friends. Originally, the tour was scheduled to kick off in mid-June and promote her latest album This Is Me… Now, released earlier this year in February.
In an emotional message to fans via her newsletter On The JLo, the 54-year-old expressed her heartbreak over the decision. «I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know I wouldn’t do this unless I felt it was absolutely necessary,» Lopez wrote.
“I promise to make it up to you, and we’ll all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time.”
While rumors have circulated about the tour’s cancellation due to low ticket sales, a source told The Daily Mail this was not the case. However, Variety reported that Lopez had already canceled seven tour dates in March, including shows in Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans, and Houston.
«Jennifer made this difficult decision recently, and she’s truly sorry to her fans,» a source added.
Fans who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster will automatically receive refunds. Those who bought tickets from third-party vendors should contact their point of purchase for further information.
The most recent public appearance of Lopez and Affleck was on May 30, when they attended the graduation party for Violet, Affleck’s daughter with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
The couple, affectionately known as Bennifer, reportedly began living apart amidst the rumors of their split. They got married in 2022 after rekindling their romance nearly 20 years after their first engagement in the early 2000s.
