

Doctor Pavel Isanbayev has spoken about the health benefits of cherries, highlighting their rich nutritional value and positive effects on the body.
According to the specialist, cherries are a rich source of anthocyanins — natural compounds known for their antioxidant properties. These substances may help improve eye health, reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, prevent excessive blood clotting, fight high blood pressure, lower cholesterol buildup in blood vessels, slow brain aging, and improve circulation.
The doctor also noted that cherries are relatively low in calories and contain fiber, polyphenols, carotenoids, vitamin C, and potassium.
For people experiencing sleep problems, cherries may also provide some benefits because they contain small amounts of tryptophan, serotonin, and melatonin — substances associated with sleep regulation.
Isanbayev added that the health differences between various types of cherries are minimal and mainly related to the different antioxidant profiles found in the berries.
