According to Article 8 of Armenia’s law “On Holidays and Memorial Days,” May 9 is officially marked as Victory and Peace Day and is considered a non-working holiday.
Under Article 147 of the Labor Code, the duration of the working day is reduced by one hour on the day preceding a non-working holiday or memorial day. The rule does not apply to employees working under reduced or part-time schedules.
As a result, employees working full-time schedules are expected to finish work one hour earlier on May 27.
