Doctor Says Fatty Fish May Help Lower Cancer Risk

Family doctor and television presenter Alexander Myasnikov has shared recommendations on cancer prevention during the Russia 1 television program “About the Most Important Thing.”

During the discussion, Myasnikov and a guest talked about whether eating fatty fish could help protect against cancer. Both concluded that such dietary habits may indeed provide health benefits.

According to the doctor, fatty fish may help reduce the risk of developing cancer, particularly colon cancer.

The program also addressed melanoma, one of the most dangerous forms of skin cancer. Russia’s chief oncologist Andrey Kaprin stated that melanoma is most commonly diagnosed in people aged 70 to 75, although the disease can develop at any age.

Specialists also discussed methods for early detection of melanoma and available treatment options.

In addition, oncologists spoke about the dangers of primary liver cancer, current treatment methods, and whether liver transplantation is always necessary in such cases.

Doctors emphasize that proper nutrition and regular medical checkups may help reduce health risks, but cancer prevention and treatment should always be guided by healthcare professionals.
