Armenia’s Ministry of Defense has reported the death of a serviceman from one of the country’s military units.
According to the official statement, on August 13, the body of serviceman Grigor Edgar Zakaryan, who served in an Armenian Defense Ministry military unit, was found with a gunshot wound.
An investigation is currently underway to fully determine the circumstances surrounding the serviceman’s death.
The Ministry of Defense did not provide additional details regarding the circumstances of the incident in its initial statement.
Authorities are expected to establish the relevant facts as part of the ongoing investigation. Until the investigation is completed, the precise circumstances surrounding the serviceman’s death remain undetermined.
The Armenian Ministry of Defense expressed its condolences and support to Grigor Zakaryan’s family members, relatives and fellow servicemen.
