A series of planned gas supply interruptions will take place in Yerevan and several regions of Armenia between August 20 and August 27 due to scheduled maintenance and repair work.
August 20–21 – Vayots Dzor Province
From 9:00 AM on August 20 until 9:00 PM on August 21, gas supply will be suspended in Jermuk, Vayk and Yeghegnadzor, as well as in Gndevaz, Kechut, Herher, Zaritap, Arin, Azatek, Por, Malishka, Agarakadzor, Vernashen, Gladzor and Getap.
The interruption is connected with repair work on the Angeghakot–Jermuk DN500 main gas pipeline. A number of businesses, CNG stations and other organizations operating in the affected communities will also be without gas.
August 21 – Gegharkunik Province
Gas supply will be suspended in Tsaghkunk from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
August 24 – Lori Province
From 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, gas supply will be interrupted in Sarahart, Gogaran and Shenavan.
In Vanadzor, another interruption is scheduled from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, affecting residents of Acharyan, Kasyan, Knunyants, Dzerzhinsky, Chavchavadze, Mashtots, March 8, Melkonyan, Sundukyan and Stepanyan streets, as well as several apartment buildings on Nersisyan Street.
August 25 – Lori, Ararat and Shirak Provinces
Several interruptions are planned for August 25.
In Gyumri, gas supply will be suspended from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 25a Shirakatsi Street, Shirakatsi 1st Dead End and surrounding areas.
In Vanadzor’s Tavros district, several streets and apartment buildings on Shirak Highway will be affected from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Residents of the Masis Station district in Masis will also be without gas from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
In Spitak’s Pyunik district, the interruption will last from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
A wider shutdown is planned in Stepanavan from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, affecting numerous streets, including Baghramyan, Yeritasardakan, Arevelyan, Raffi, Kamo, Muratsan, Charents, Proshyan, Khanjyan, Teryan, Isahakyan, Garegin Nzhdeh, Gorky, Mayakovsky, Khorenatsi, Antarayin, Sayat-Nova, Abovyan, Tumanyan and others.
August 26 – Yerevan and Several Provinces
In Yerevan’s Kentron district, gas supply will be suspended from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM in the area enclosed by Tigran Mets Avenue and Khanjyan, Hanrapetutyan and Pavstos Buzand streets.
In Ajapnyak, several addresses along the old Ejmiatsin Highway, Noragyugh district and Amerikyan Street, as well as nearby private homes and organizations, will be affected from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
In Vanadzor, residents of Adamyan and Hyusisayin streets and several apartment buildings on Narekatsi and Tevosyan streets will be without gas from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Gas supply will also be suspended in Kaghtsrashen, Ararat Province, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and in Vardablur, Lori Province, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
In Gyumri, neighborhoods enclosed by Khorenatsi, Sevak, Charents, 3rd and 5th streets will be affected from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
August 27 – Lori Province
In Vanadzor, gas supply will be suspended from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Sukhumi and Yubeka streets, at several apartment buildings on Hambardzumyan and Shinararner streets, and in Arevashogh settlement.
In Metsavan, gas supply will be interrupted from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Residents and organizations in the affected areas are advised to take the scheduled interruptions into account when planning their activities and to follow gas safety requirements during the shutdown and restoration of service.
