According to the statement, the incident occurred at the deceased person’s place of residence, specifically at a livestock farm.
The serviceman was not on duty at the time of the incident, and officials stressed that the case was unrelated to his military service. Therefore, they said, it should not be classified as an incident that occurred in the army.
The statement also criticized recent media coverage, arguing that such reports negatively affect the morale and psychological condition of the armed forces.
Media outlets were urged to avoid presenting unrelated incidents as events occurring within the military and to refrain from reporting practices that could create unnecessary concern among servicemen, their parents and relatives.
