An emergency situation was reported at a kindergarten in Kaghtsrashen, Ararat Province, on September 16, prompting the evacuation of children and staff.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, at around 10:00 AM, employees and children reportedly noticed five snakes inside the kindergarten. The building was quickly evacuated as a precaution.
Kindergarten director Lusine Galstyan then contacted the Ararat Regional Rescue Department. Rescue personnel arrived at the scene and began searching the kindergarten for the snakes.
According to Shamshyan’s information, 135 children attend the kindergarten.
At present, no danger to the lives of the children or staff has been reported.
