Four people were killed in a tragic road accident near Charentsavan, with two of the victims reportedly being a married couple, an eyewitness told NEWS.am.
According to the eyewitness, a Nissan Tiida left the roadway, ended up among trees and subsequently caught fire. Local residents rushed to the scene and attempted to provide assistance before firefighters arrived.
The eyewitness said that two of the four people who died were husband and wife, adding that the woman worked as a cook at a military unit.
Earlier reports indicated that the crash occurred at around 4:00 PM on the Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan highway, within the administrative area of Charentsavan.
According to preliminary information, the Nissan Tiida left the roadway, struck earth embankments and ended up among the trees.
