A passenger traveling from Cyprus to Yerevan has reported that an emergency situation occurred aboard her flight, allegedly forcing the aircraft to make an unscheduled landing, according to the Armenian newspaper Hraparak.
The woman told the publication that the incident occurred two days earlier. According to her account, a fire broke out aboard the aircraft, causing panic among passengers. She also claimed that one male passenger lost consciousness amid the situation.
The aircraft then reportedly made an emergency landing at a nearby airport, after which the passengers continued their journey on another plane. The woman described the incident as extremely frightening, saying they had “miraculously survived.”
Hraparak contacted Zvartnots International Airport, where it was told that two airlines operate flights between Yerevan and Cyprus: FlyOne Armenia and Wizz Air. Airport representatives said they could not provide details about the reported incident and that such information should be obtained directly from the airline involved.
The passenger claimed that the aircraft belonged to FlyOne Armenia.
The publication subsequently contacted Aram Ananyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FlyOne Armenia. According to Hraparak, he declined to comment and said the company would respond to inquiries exclusively through electronic correspondence.
The circumstances described by the passenger, including the reported onboard fire and emergency landing, have not been independently confirmed in the information provided.
