A contemporary take on “”Romeo & Juliet”” that asks the question: what if Juliet lives, and gets a second chance at life?

The story is told through the music of legendary songwriter / producer Max Martin, and features a playlist we all know and love, including songs made famous by Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears, NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, and more. Begins on Broadway this October.

I still remember the sound of the waves crashing on the shore that day. The salty breeze in my face, the warm sand beneath my feet. It was supposed to be a day of relaxation, a day to forget about the troubles of everyday life. But then I saw him. A man sitting alone on a bench, staring out at the endless sea with a sadness in his eyes that mirrored my own. His loneliness called out to me, and before I knew it, I found myself walking towards him, drawn by an invisible force. As I approached, I could see the lines etched into his face, the weariness of years spent carrying burdens too heavy for one person to bear. I hesitated for a moment, unsure if I should intrude on his solitude. But then he looked up, and our eyes met. In that instant, I saw a flicker of something familiar, something that made my heart ache with recognition. Without a word, I sat down beside him, our silent companionship filling the space between us with a sense of shared understanding. And as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of pink and gold, he began to speak. His words were like pieces of a puzzle, slowly coming together to reveal a story of loss and regret, of missed opportunities and shattered dreams. And as I listened, tears pricked at the corners of my eyes, for his pain resonated with my own in a way I couldn’t quite explain. But before he could finish his tale, darkness descended, shrouding us in its comforting embrace. And as the last rays of sunlight disappeared, leaving us in a world of shadows, I knew that this stranger, this man who had crossed my path by chance, had somehow become a part of my own story. And with that realization, I knew that our meeting was no accident, but a turning point, a moment that would change everything.
