Rick Harrison Is Mourning

Rick Harrison, the creator and leading star of the acclaimed reality TV show “Pawn Stars,” is mourning the loss of his son, Adam Harrison. Sadly, Adam passed away at 39 due to a drug overdose. This heartbreaking news was confirmed by Rick’s representative, Laura Herlovich, to The Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office later revealed that Adam’s death was accidental, caused by a lethal mix of fentanyl and methamphetamine. A detailed report from the Coroner is forthcoming.

The growing crisis of fentanyl-related deaths in the United States cannot be ignored. The CDC reported that in 2022 alone, 73,654 people died from fentanyl overdoses, more than double the deaths in 2019.

Although Adam, a professional plumber, was not a regular on “Pawn Stars,” he did work at the family’s Gold & Silver Pawn shop, the show’s central setting since its debut in 2009.

Laura Herlovich, on behalf of the Harrison family, requested privacy during their time of grief. Rick honored his son on Instagram, posting a touching photo of them together with the caption, “You will always be in my heart! I love you, Adam.”

Corey Harrison, Rick’s oldest son, also paid tribute to Adam on social media, sharing a nostalgic childhood photo of the two in a bathtub and expressing his enduring love, “I will always love you, bubba.”

TMZ first reported Adam’s tragic passing, and the Las Vegas Metro Police Department is currently investigating the circumstances. Rick Harrison confirmed to FOX News Digital that Adam’s death resulted from a fentanyl overdose.

Rick voiced his deep concern over the fentanyl crisis, calling for decisive action to prevent the influx of this deadly drug. He stressed the importance of a united effort to combat this epidemic and save lives.

Understanding the deadly nature of fentanyl is crucial. The Drug Enforcement Agency warns that as little as 2 milligrams of fentanyl, equivalent to a few grains of salt, can be fatal.

As Rick Harrison and his family grieve Adam’s loss, they remind us of the severe impact of the fentanyl crisis and the urgent need to address it.
