Nutritionist Warns That Strawberries May Be Harmful for Some People

Despite the many health benefits of strawberries, experts say the fruit may not be suitable for everyone. According to nutritionist Ekaterina Voytenko, certain medical conditions can make strawberry consumption risky.

In an interview reported by Shant News, the specialist explained that strawberries contain many valuable nutrients, including vitamin C, folic acid, vitamins B, A and E, as well as iron.

However, Voytenko advised people with severe allergies, gastrointestinal disorders, ulcers, gallstone disease, and high stomach acidity to be especially careful when consuming strawberries.

The nutritionist also stressed the importance of moderation. While the appropriate amount may vary depending on a person’s health condition and should ideally be determined by a doctor, she noted that 300–400 grams per day is generally considered a safe amount for relatively healthy adults.

She added that it is better to divide this amount into several portions throughout the day rather than eating it all at once, which may help reduce the risk of allergic reactions.
