The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has proposed amendments to a government decision related to the payment system for pensions and state benefits.
Armenia officially introduced an exclusively cashless payment system for pensions and state benefits starting from April 1, 2026.
Under the proposed changes, special banking service mechanisms will be introduced for beneficiaries who are unable to independently use basic banking services in full.
The planned solutions also include revisions to the standard agreement established by Government Decision No. 284-N of March 12, 2020. According to the ministry, the changes are intended to improve banking accessibility and help identify vulnerable beneficiaries who may require additional support and priority assistance.
