Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports has announced the start of electronic registration for children entering first grade in the 2026–2027 academic year.
The process will take place in three stages.
During the first stage, from June 8 at 9:00 a.m. until June 21 at midnight, registration will be available for children eligible for priority admission. These include children with siblings already studying at the school, children of school employees, socially vulnerable families, children under guardianship, children with disabilities, and children of parents with disabilities.
Priority registration will also apply to certain public sector employees temporarily relocated to another community for at least six months due to official assignments.
The second stage will begin on June 23 at 9:00 a.m. and will allow general registration for Armenian-language first-grade classes, including applications from foreign citizens, dual citizens, stateless persons, and national minority representatives choosing Armenian-language education.
The third stage will begin on June 30 at 9:00 a.m. and will apply to Russian-language classes for eligible foreign citizens, dual citizens, stateless persons, and certain national minority families.
The ministry also noted that if one child from twins, triplets, or larger multiple births is admitted to a school, the remaining siblings will also be accepted to the same institution regardless of available places.
Registration will continue throughout the academic year.
The process will be completed online through the my.emis.am platform. Parents are advised to create and verify their accounts before registration begins, as the identification process may take time.
