Doctor Says Fatty Fish May Help Reduce Cancer Risk

Family doctor and television presenter Alexander Myasnikov has shared recommendations on cancer prevention, highlighting the possible health benefits of eating fatty fish.

Speaking on the Russia 1 television program “About the Most Important Thing,” Myasnikov discussed with a guest whether fatty fish could help protect against cancer. Both agreed that such a diet may indeed have preventive benefits.

According to the doctor, fatty fish may help lower the risk of developing certain forms of cancer, particularly colon cancer.

The discussion also touched on melanoma, one of the most dangerous forms of skin cancer. Russia’s chief oncologist Andrey Kaprin stated that melanoma is most commonly diagnosed in people between the ages of 70 and 75, although the disease can develop at any age.

Oncologist Evgeny Cheryomushkin also discussed melanoma risks, methods for early detection, and available treatment options.

In addition, specialists addressed the dangers of primary liver cancer, current treatment approaches, and whether organ transplantation is always necessary in such cases.
