Cat Hunter went missing last November. His owners, Gina Henderson and Jody Anderson, let the pet go for a walk in the yard and never saw him again. They searched for Hunter day and night, certain that he could not have gone far, but the cat was nowhere to be found.
For two long months, Gina and Jody did not lose hope that one day their pet would return home. But as time went on, it got colder outside, and the chances that Hunter would be found were fading. The girls posted information about the cat on social networks, handed out flyers with his photo on the streets and promised those who found a reward of 100 Canadian dollars. Having learned about their trouble, the residents of the town of Windsor decided to support the family and increased the amount to $ 900.
People just came to Gina and Jody’s house and handed them bills and wished them luck in their search. 74 days after Hunter went missing, the phone rang in the house. A 9-year-old boy named Briaden Bendzsak reported seeing a cat. At first, the girls were skeptical about the words of the child, but agreed to check the information.
As soon as Briaden saw the flyers, he immediately set off in search of the cat. The boy walked around all the neighboring houses, examined all the yards and benches. Every day during lunch break and after school, the child searched for the missing pet. And finally, his efforts were rewarded – he noticed a cat that looked very much like Hunter. He disappeared under someone’s porch. However, when he saw his owners, he immediately ran out of his hiding place. The happiness of the girls knew no bounds. They were very grateful to Briaden for his help. Upon learning that Hunter was found by a 9-year-old boy, the townspeople decided to add a little more to the reward, and Briaden became the proud owner of $ 1,025.
This money will help him realize his old dream – to buy a game console. At the same time, the boy admits that he was looking for Hunter solely out of good intentions, without thinking about a possible reward. “What I’ve learned in my search is that you should never lose hope, because you can always achieve what you want if you want it with all your mind or, in the case of Hunter, with all your heart,” says Briaden. Hunter is lucky. Doctors found no health problems other than severe dehydration. After a course of treatment, he again returned home to his family, who were waiting for him very much and did not lose hope of seeing their pet again.
